Time & Location

10AM at Confluence Park picnic shelter, Confluence Park, Issaquah, WA 98027, USA

About the event

This guided tour will tell the stories of the Anderson, Ek, Alexander, and Wold families while visiting their old homesteads. Along the way we will visit some spectacular specimans in the City's Heritage Tree Program. We will discuss the landscape as it was when the first Euro/American migrants arrived, how the early settlers modified the landscape, and what has been done since and the long-term consequences of all this change.

The route will be a loop tour encompassing Confluence Park and Gilman Village on fairly level ground with travel on paved and unpaved surfaces. The pace will be easy and allow for plenty of storytelling and conversation.

Done in collaboration with the City of Issaquah, the tours will blend the stories of people and the landscape that shaped our town.
